Aortic valve replacement is a treatment plan used to replace a faulty valve in the heart to keep the blood flowing continuously in the body. The heart pumps blood to the whole body, and the aortic valve is an opening in the heart through which the blood passes for circulation in the whole body. The valve can get damaged or diseased, decreasing the volume of blood flow. To regain the proper blood flow, the aortic valve can be replaced with an artificial valve surgically.
