Permanent Pacemaker Implant (PPI) is a medical device that is implanted into the body surgically. This implant regulates the heart rhythms. The heartbeat is controlled by the electrical impulses generated in the heart. These impulses signal the heart to contract and relax, resulting in the circulation of the blood to the whole body. These impulses can get too weak or irregular causing the blood flow to be affected. To fix this, a PPI is added to the heart, This device is attached to two different parts of the heart, namely, the ventricle and the atrium. Electrical impulses are generated by this device to maintain a regular heartbeat of the heart.
